CREATING STUDENT PROFILES ALONGSIDE KURA

"At St Thomas of Canterbury College, we lead with our vision, Educated Hearts, Educated MInds. We believe in shaping young men who are confident, compassionate, and prepared for the future. The development of our new student profiles, Te Koru and Te Kauri, reflects this vision and our values, Brotherhood, Manawa, Legacy and Compassion, in action."

This project was a true collaboration—bringing together students, teachers, and the wider community to define what it means to be a St Thomas student. Through workshops, discussions, and shared insights, we crafted profiles that not only align with our school’s values but also provide a clear pathway for personal growth. They form a key cornerstone of the new Kotahitanga mentoring programme.

Te Koru represents the foundation—growth, learning, and potential, while Te Kauri embodies the strength and leadership developed over time. These profiles are more than just statements; they are woven into our mentoring classes, assemblies, and curriculum, ensuring that students actively reflect on their progress and achievements.

At ImpactEd we are very proud of supporting the STC team to see this project come to life, from the beginning ideas through to the final outcomes. A special thank you to everyone involved—your voices and perspectives shaped an initiative that will empower our students for years to come.
